The results are in! Adult Camp was a huge success!!
This year's theme was "The Nature of the Horse." We explored how horses think and learn, how to work with them on the ground to gain their confidence and trust (including round pen work), and how to use our own bodies correctly while mounted to earn their willing partnership.
Lecture notes for Equine Memory and Learning session are HERE
Here's what our campers had to say:
"I just wanted to thank you for having such a great Adult Camp! I really enjoyed all the lectures and I have definitely learned so much this week during the mounted sessions! . . . In all my years of lessons I had never learned the more technical ways of using aids and all the different things that go into transitions!! I really appreciated learning the theory behind riding techniques and the physiological explanations for using different aids. . . . I always remember my summers at Reddemeade fondly and this one is no exception. Thank you for having an excellent camp!"
"Really enjoyed and learned a ton."
"Thanks for camp this week. It had a number of interesting sessions that will keep me going with more focus on my rides."
"I thoroughly enjoyed myself and am humbled by how little I know about horses and horsemanship, yet at the same time, I'm not discouraged but am inspired by you and the others Reddemeade instructors to continue on my quest to push the limits of my abilities and learn as much as I can!"
Thanks for coming, and we'll see you all next year!

Adult Camp
What a great experience! Clear, meaningful instruction, super horses and insightful information. I agree with all my fellow campers with their sentiments - a humbling, enriching, enticing vacation. I will be back for many more.
