Dressage:
* Correctly warm up and cool down a horse
* Walk/trot transitions are prompt
* School figures (figure 8, half circle-reverse, serpentine at trot)
* Confirm sitting trot
* Introduce half halts at all gaits
* Develop proper connection at walk and trot
* Full seat canter departs from trot
* Canter without stirrups
* Introduce free walk
* Correct use of dressage whip
* Ride USDF walk-trot dressage tests

Jumping:
* Grids of 2-3 fences at max 2’ (x-rails first, then verticals)
* Single verticals, max 2’
* Canter single fences, max 2’
* 4 ground poles on a 20m circle (may raise later)
* Introduce jump position in the field at walk/trot/canter

Unmounted:
* Types of feed and forage
* Distances between jumps and types of show jumps
* Longeing a horse
* Various disciplines and rules for showing
* Show prep of horse (bathing, braiding, clipping)
